ABOUT THE ARTIST

Kasey Kaufman

Kasey Kaufman spent over 20 years as an award-winning television news anchor and reporter at WBZ-TV in Boston, where she captured the stories of our time through video and the spoken word. Today, she tells those stories with a different set of tools: tubes of paint, brushes, and canvases.

Drawing on her background in journalism—where editing and revision were second nature—Kasey brings the same approach to her artwork. She applies paint in layers, always seeking to forge an emotional connection with the viewer. Her work is defined by a simplicity of color, composition, and subject matter, shifting between abstraction and realism, still life and landscape.

Kasey’s paintings are influenced by both real and imagined scenes that reflect her upbringing in Vermont and California. As a mostly self-taught artist, her style continues to evolve. She believes in the practice of daily painting and sketching, finding it both meditative and transformative. This dedication has sharpened her ability to see the world with greater clarity, appreciation, and joy.

Her work has been exhibited at the Art in the Village Gallery in Warren, Vermont; Art Nova Gallery in Chatham, MA; Cadeau in Brookline, MA; and Nest in Dedham, MA.
