ABOUT THE ART
Make the world your oyster (or at least your favorite wall)! Painted from specimens discovered along North Carolina's shores, this duo of pearly shells embodies the beauty and depth of oysters. Kim Hovell's unique ability to capture its rough-hewn outer shell and smooth iridescent interior in abstract detail is what makes her one of our favorite artists. Printed on archival paper and framed behind a double mat.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Kim Hovell
We stumbled upon Kim showing her work at the Annapolis Summer Art Festival and were instantly enamored with her oyster paintings. Kim is a free spirit with extreme talent, but her humility and authentic kindness make you forget you are in the presence someone so gifted. Kim’s paintings are graceful and fluid, they poetically combine dozens of colors to create soft neutrals that coordinate in any room.
