ABOUT THE ART
Never waste an ounce of daylight! It's the oldest of summer edicts and the spirit behind the pool. Once you've had enough salt and sand, there's nothing better than retiring to the hotel and relaxing poolside with a drink-in-your-hand and a satisfying book before the sun sets for the day. Maren Devine's intrinsically playful artwork blurs the line between conventional reality and abstract fantasy with provoking color, intuitive movement and gestural mark-making that artfully depicts the whimsical nature of life.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Maren Devine
Maren Devine taught art at an inner-city school in Dallas, Texas, before she decided to pursue her passion for painting. Inspired but Matisse, John Singer Sargent, and Picasso, her signature style is marked by a vibrancy in hues combined with a distinctive brushstroke that is full of life. We fell in love with Devine's whimsical landscapes, poolscapes, and water birds and the youthful palette of brlliant pinks, greens, and turquoises.
