ABOUT THE ARTIST
Alma Ramirez
Mexican-American Alma Ramirez is a classically trained, contemporary artist living and working in St. Augustine, Florida. Alma graduated from Instituto de Bellas Artes in Chihuahua, Mexico. She moved to Florida in 2014, where she was inspired by water and the interplay of colors all around us. An accidentally pixelated image on her camera led her to the concept of transforming something broken into something new, and her unique abstract painting style was born. Alma’s process consists of layers of paint to create beautiful colors, composition, and light. Her artwork is inspired by nature and the paintings evoke a relaxing and happy atmosphere that will brighten any room or viewer.
